Artists Statement:
In Sheril’s own words:
“I am lucky to be a lifelong resident of the Central Coast. I grew up in Cayucos and Morro Bay. I took many art classes in high school and college. At one time I planned on becoming an art teacher, but life happened and I became a Special Education Teacher. After retiring from Orcutt Union School District a few years ago, I was able to revisit my dream of becoming an artist. My style involves lots of color. I enjoy how watercolor flows freely, but I usually add lots of detail in the main areas of interest. I especially enjoy painting flowers, landscapes and sea harbor scenes.”
