“Knife Painting in oil, for me, is an exploration of possibilities. An idea or image takes form as I freely utilize knives and brushes with thickly applied color that is vibrant, alive, and assertive. The creative process begins to assume a life of its own, and herein lies the discovery of what can surprisingly unfold.
As I work, I find myself immersed in the dynamic interplay between color and texture, allowing each stroke to guide the next. This spontaneous approach often leads to unexpected and delightful results. Hopefully, the final expression will both attract and engage others as they observe my efforts to share a bit of the beauty that surrounds us.”
